41 tratte aeronautiche sono servite per raggiungere gli aeroporti delle isole e le città più importanti della meravigiosa Grecia.
Il tour, per il 90% sui cieli del Mar Egeo, entusiasma il sognatore e permette una visione d'insieme suggestiva; possibile solo con l'ausilio del simulatore virtuale.
Per godere al meglio questa esperienza, il tour è stato suddiviso in due parti.
Questa prima sezione è composta da 21 video, per un totale di 20 ore di visione.
3.390 miglie nautiche, vale a dire 6278.28 Chilometri.
Ecco i luoghi più importanti, sorvolati in questa prima sezione, in ordine di volo.
Partenza da Rodi.
Simi, Tilos, Dodecaneso, Astypalaia, virata su Anydros, isola di Ios, che ospita la tomba del poeta Omero, Irakleia e atterraggio a Naxos.
Ripartiamo: Chios, Lesbos, Limnos, Thasos sorvolando Keramoti e arrivo al Kavala International Airport Alexander il grande.
Avala, Eleftheroupuli, Golfo di Orfani, Asprovalta,Galatista, Macedonia Aeroporto di Thessalonika (Salonicco).Aeroporto di Ioannina. Sorvolando di seguito: il Kastro Pente-Pigadion, nella periferia dell'Epiro, alle pendici del Parco dell'Anatolika Tzoumerka arriviamo ad Ambracia, sul golfo di Arta.
Qui incontriamo la forteza di Actium a Prevesa e successivamente impostiamo la prua a sud per sorvolare Leucade. L'isola di Itaca la raggiungiamo subito dopo, con la vicina isola di Kefalonia, iniziamo quindi la discesa per l'omonimo aeroporto "Anna Poliatou".
Ora è la volta di Patrasso. Costeggiando il Golfo di Corinto fino alla città, sorvoliamo il canale in prossimità del ponte Loutraki sull'istmo, entrando nel Golfo di Mergara per atterrare all'aeroporto della cittadina ateniese, nelle vicinanze del circuto automobilistico di Megara e le sue più antiche rovine.
Nel riprendere il tour evitiamo, per il momento, di attraversare la Baia di Salamina e ci dirigiamo invece, come previsto dal tour IVAO della divisione Greca, verso le isole Saroniche, per poi doppiare l'isola di Modi e il capo roccioso dell'isola di Idra, dove si erge, carica di mistica storia, la chiesa di San Ioannikios
Virata a Sud-Ovest per avvistare la prima penisola del Peloponneso. A Capo Kremmidhi, la costeggiamo fino al faro di capo Malea e, da qui, iniziamo la discesa per l'aeroporto dell'isola di Khitira, dove nacque la Dea Venere
Alla ripartenza, il nostro Piper Pa28R Arrow III ci trasporterà nel sud dell'Egeo, nelle isole Cicladi fino a Mikonos, passando over Milos, Sifnos, Antiparos e Paros.
Siamo solo a metà di questa prima parte, dunque il takeoff da Mikonos non può farsi attendere molto.
Veloci riportiamo le ali nel cielo. Stavolta incontriamo l'isola di Delos, affiancata a quella di Rineia.
Puntiamo alla volta dell'isola di Tino, raggiunto l'agio romano di Paralia viriamno ad Ovest verso l'isola di Gyaros e di seguito a Nord per la torre di Ostodosia, nell'isola di Andros. Lo stretto di Karifeas bagna l'isola di Eubea, la più grande tra quelle Greche.La costeggiamo sorvolando il parco di Oreinos Ogkos lasciandola direzione Skiros. Successivamente incontriamo Skantzoura, virata ad Ovest per Skopelos, e discesa per l'aeroporto di Alexandros Papadiamantis di Skiathos.La prossima tappa ci porta fino all'aeroporto Kastoria Airport Aristotle ad Argos Orestiko. per arrivarci lasciamo Skiathos per sorvolare Argalasti ed il Golfo di Pagaseo.Quindi la citta di Volos, ma la nostra attenzione ricade più avanti, nel sorvolare una importante Bird area, nei pressi di Seskio in Tessaglia, luogo riconosciuto come il primo insediamento Neolitico in Europa.Ancora qualche miglia e sul finestrino di destra appare il Monte Olimpo, mentre sotto di noi si ricorrono le campagne di Elassona.
Giunti al lago artificiale di Polifitou, sappiamo che ci dobbiamo preparare all'atterraggio.In vista dell'aeroporto civile di Kozani virata ad ovest, superato il parco di Prasina è fatta:landing sulla pista 31.
Nuova tratta e uscita dal CTR nei pressi di Neapoli, poi veloci fino a Igoumenitsa, stavolta viriamo ad est per il finale a Corfù:aeroporto Ioannis Kapodistrias Int.
Ora si vola a sud, fino a Parga, ci ritroviamo a Prevesa sul golfo di Arta, l'isola di Lefkada è sulla destra, ancora una volta Skorpios sotto le nostre ali, e poi Meganisi, la sua lunga lingua di terra nel mare fino a Berretta, localita dalle acque smeraldine.Siamo sullo Ionio Helllenico, dopo il tratto di mare arriva l'isoletta di Makrì e poi la splendida Oxia. Dritti a sud verso Kastro Killinis a Ciliene, nell'antica Arcadia e dunque landing all'aeroporto di Zacinto (Zante) nella baia di Laganas
Da Zante successivamente, quasi linea retta fino a Tripoli. Da qui torniamo sui cieli di Ciliene e poi Meganisi verso Prevesa, ma questa volta atterriamo all'aeroporto di Aktion, ovvero il promontorio Azio, passato alla storia per la battaglia navale tra Ottaviano Augusto contro Marco Antonio e Cleopatra.
Di nuovo in volo da Aktion climb per Ambracia, Giannina e poi svolta ad est per raggiungere Kalambaka, abbiamo già solcato le nuovole di questi luoghi, ora sul monte Dovra Valta siamo pronti a scendere per atterrare all'aeroporto Filippos di Kozani, già sorvolato in precedenza.
Si riparte e stavolta scegliamo di passare sotto il fianco del Monte Olimpo, virata ad est sopra Elassona e il monte è lì.
Lo circumnavighiamo e ci portiamo sulla citta di Katherini, sul Golfo di Termaico, sul lato opposto c'è Nea Michaniona, dalla Macedonia alla regione Calcidica, la tagliamo tutta per tornare al Golfo di Orfani, lungo costa fino all'isola di Thasos, incrociamo Keramothi, poi il porto di Fanari, da qui inizia l'apprioccio finale per atterarre all'aeroporto di Alessadropolis: Dimokritos.
La priossima tappa (18°), è tutta sull'Egeo. tre isole sorvolate:Samotrace; Limnos; Efstratios, quindi atterraggioa a Skiros.
Il volo seguente è fino a Paros, tragitto già eseguito, ora a ritroso: isola di Eubea, Andros, Ermoupoli e arrivo al Panteleou Paros Airport, con circuto standard.
Lasciamo le Cicladi per arrivare ad Atene, prima dobbiamo sorvolare le isole Sifnos, Serifos, Georgios,Egina. Da quest'ultima inzia l'approach finale.
Costeggiamo Salamina e atterriamo ad Elefsis. Uno degli aeroporti della capitale.
Ultima tappa di questo primo tour Hellenico è l'arrivo all'aeroporto militare Stefanovikion, nei pressi di Larissa. Per arrivarci sorvoliamo la città di Atene ed il suo centro, nuovamente Eubea, su per i cieli della Tesssaglia, superata la città di Volos atterriamo.

The tour, 90% on the skies of the Aegean Sea, excites the dreamer and allows a suggestive overview; possible only with the help of the virtual simulator.
To better enjoy this experience, the tour has been divided into two parts.
This first section consists of 21 videos, for a total of 20 hours of viewing.

Here are the most important places, flown over in this first section, in order of flight.
Departure from Rhodes.
Symi, Tilos, Dodecanese, Astypalaia, turn to Anydros, Ios island, which houses the tomb of the poet Homer, Irakleia and landing in Naxos.
We set off again: Chios, Lesbos, Limnos, Thasos flying over Keramoti and arriving at Kavala International Airport Alexander the Great.
Avala, Eleftheroupuli, Gulf of Orfani, Asprovalta,Galatista, Macedonia Thessalonika Airport (Thessaloniki).Ioannina Airport. Flying over the following: Kastro Pente-Pigadion, on the outskirts of Epirus, on the slopes of the Anatolika Tzoumerka Park we arrive at Ambracia, on the Gulf of Arta.
Here we meet the fortress of Actium in Preveza and then we set the bow to the south to fly over Lefkada. We reach the island of Ithaca immediately after, with the nearby island of Kefalonia, then we begin the descent to the homonymous "Anna Poliatou" airport.
Now it's the turn of Patras. Skirting the Gulf of Corinth to the city, we fly over the canal near the Loutraki bridge on the isthmus, entering the Gulf of Mergara to land at the airport of the Athenian town, near the Megara circuit and its most ancient ruins.
On resuming the tour we avoid, for the moment, crossing the Bay of Salamis and instead head, as foreseen by the IVAO tour of the Greek division, towards the Saronic islands, to then round the island of Modi and the rocky cape of the island of Hydra, where the church of St. Ioannikios
stands full of mystical history.
Turn South-West to sight the first peninsula of the Peloponnese. At Cape Kremmidhi, we skirt it up to the lighthouse at Cape Malea and, from here, we begin the descent to the airport of the island of Khitira, where the Goddess Venus was born
At the restart, our Piper Pa28R Arrow III will transport us in the southern Aegean, in the Cyclades islands up to Mikonos, passing over Milos, Sifnos, Antiparos and Paros.
We're only halfway through this first part, so the takeoff from Mykonos can't be long in coming.
Quickly we bring our wings back to the sky. This time we meet the island of Delos, alongside that of Rineia.
We head towards the island of Tinos, once we reach the Roman settlement of Paralia we head west towards the island of Gyaros and then north towards the tower of Ostodosia, on the island of Andros. The Karifeas Strait bathes the island of Euboea, the largest of the Greek ones. We skirt it flying over the park of Oreinos Ogkos leaving it in the direction of Skiros. Later we meet Skantzoura, turn West to Skopelos, and descend to the Alexandros Papadiamantis airport of Skiathos. The next stage takes us to the Kastoria Airport Aristotle airport in Argos Orestiko. to get there we leave Skiathos to fly over Argalasti and the Pagasetic Gulf. Then the city of Volos, but our attention falls further on, flying over an important Bird area, near Seskio in Thessaly, a place recognized as the first Neolithic settlement in Europe. A few more miles and on the right window Mount Olympus appears, while below us there is the countryside of Elassona.
Once at the Polifitou artificial lake, we know that we have to prepare for landing. In view of the civil airport of Kozani, turn west, after the Prasina park, it's done: landing on runway 31.
New route and exit from the CTR near Neapoli, then fast up to Igoumenitsa, this time we turn east for the final in Corfu: Ioannis Kapodistrias Int. airport.
Now we fly south, up to Parga, we find ourselves in Preveza on the Gulf of Arta, the island of Lefkada is on the right, once again Skorpios under our wings, and then Meganisi, its long strip of land in the sea up to Berretta, a place with emerald waters. We are on the Hellenic Ionian, after the stretch of sea comes the islet of Makrì and then the splendid Oxia. Straight south towards Kastro Killinis in Ciliene, in ancient Arcadia and therefore landing at Zakynthos (Zante) airport in the bay of Laganas
From Zakynthos later, almost straight line to Tripoli. From here we return to the skies of Ciliene and then Meganisi towards Prevesa, but this time we land at the Aktion airport, or rather the Azio promontory, which went down in history for the naval battle between Octavian Augustus against Marco Antonio and Cleopatra.
Flying again from Aktion climb to Ambracia, Ioannina and then turning east to reach Kalambaka, we have already crossed the clouds of these places, now on Mount Dovra Valta we are ready to descend to land at Filippos airport in Kozani, already flown over previously.
We set off again and this time we choose to pass under the side of Mount Olympus, turn east above Elassona and the mountain is there.
We circumnavigate it and go to the city of Katherini, on the Thermaic Gulf, on the opposite side there is Nea Michaniona, from Macedonia to the Chalkidiki region, we cut it all to return to the Gulf of Orfani, along the coast to the island of Thasos, we cross Keramothi, then the port of Fanari, from here begins the final approach to land at the airport of Alexandropolis: Dimokritos.
The very first stage (18th), is all over the Aegean. three islands flown over:Samothrace; Limnos; Efstratios, then landed in Skiros.
The next flight is to Paros, route already done, now backwards: Evia island, Andros, Ermoupoli and arrival at Panteleou Paros Airport, with standard circuit.
We leave the Cyclades to get to Athens, first we have to fly over the islands of Sifnos, Serifos, Georgios, Aegina. The final approach starts from the latter.
We skirt Salamis and land at Elefsis. One of the airports of the capital.
The Last stop of this first Hellenic tour is the arrival at the Stefanovikion military airport, near Larissa. To get there we fly over the city of Athens and its centre, Euboea again, up in the skies of Thessaly, after the city of Volos we land.
